Kamaal Tea Company

You can find Kamaal Tea Company at Shop Number 4 inside the Dholkawala BMC Chawl. We are situated right near the Sales Tax Office, which means there’s always people walking around and a lot of traffic during the day. Our shop isn't very large, just a small space where we keep our supplies and meet with customers. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to worry about that. Being in a chawl means we are part of a tight community. We see the same faces every morning when we open the shutters. It’s a noisy environment with the street sounds and the office workers nearby, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We handle all the tea ourselves, from unloading the sacks to weighing out what people need. There isn't any fancy machinery here. Just scales, bags, and our hands. It gets a bit crowded when more than two people are inside at once. Sometimes we sit on the wooden crates outside just to get some air. We don't do much advertising because the location brings in enough folks who are already in the area for the tax office. It’s a practical setup for us. We just focus on getting through the orders and making sure the shop is locked up tight at night. It’s honest work in a busy part of the city and we've been here for many seasons.
