Kalu Ram Hardware & Paint is located at Shop No. 93 in the Roma building. We’re on New Kantwadi Road in Pali Hill, right across from the Hanuman Temple in Bandra West. It’s a great spot to be in, though finding parking around here is usually a nightmare for everyone involved. The shop is always full of the smell of oil, metal, and paint thinner. We’ve got shelves stacked high with cans, brushes, and every kind of screw or bolt you could ever need. It’s a bit of a maze once you get inside, but we know exactly which corner holds what item. Being across from the temple means we hear the bells and see the crowds every single day. Bandra is a busy place, and even in a neighborhood like Pali Hill, there’s always someone renovating an apartment or fixing a sudden leak. We spend a lot of time mixing specific colors for customers who can’t quite decide what they want. It’s a lot of standing on our feet and climbing up ladders to reach the top shelves. We aren't a big chain store; we’re just a local hardware shop where the floor is a bit scuffed and the counter is worn down from many years of use. We don't do much in the way of advertising or promotion. Most people just drop in because they’re in the neighborhood or they’ve been coming to see us for years. It’s a simple, busy life keeping the residents of Bandra supplied.
