We are tucked away in the Kalbadevi area, inside the Poddar Building on Dadiseth Agyari Lane. Our space is on the ground floor, Room Number 1, which makes it easier since you do not have to deal with any stairs. This part of Mumbai is incredibly crowded and the lanes are very narrow, but this is where all the traditional trading happens. Mallhar Rao Wadi is usually filled with handcarts, delivery bikes, and people moving heavy boxes around. Our office is quite small and feels a bit old, but it has been our home for a long time. There is a lot of history in these old walls and wooden desks. We handle various import and export tasks throughout our working hours. It is mostly a lot of phone calls, manual ledger work, and checking on manifests. The street outside is constantly noisy with honking and people shouting, but we have stopped noticing it after all these years. We keep our front door open most of the time to let some fresh air circulate. It is definitely not a fancy showroom or a modern office. It is just a practical workspace where we get our daily work done. We know most of the other shopkeepers and traders on this lane. Sometimes we sit on the stools out front when it is not too hot outside. We do not have a website with flashy pictures. We just do our business and then head home at the end of the day.
