Kailash Steel Emporium

Our shop, Kailash Steel Emporium, is located in the IIT Market area of Powai, near Mukhteshwar Ashram on Princess Street. It’s a lively spot because of all the students and families living around the campus. We deal in all kinds of steel items, mostly for kitchens and general home use. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be smart about how we display things. You’ll see stacks of stainless steel basins and racks right as you walk in. We spend most of our day talking to customers who are looking for something durable for their homes. Since we are near the IIT, we get a lot of young people looking for basic stuff when they move into their hostels or flats. We try to keep prices fair because we know everyone is on a budget. The market can be quite noisy, especially in the evenings, but it gives the place a good energy. We don't have a big corporate team; it’s just a few of us who know where every single spoon and pot is hidden in the back. Sometimes the inventory gets a little messy when a new shipment arrives, but we clear it up eventually. It’s a regular shop for regular people. We just focus on providing things that last a long time. We’ve been here for years and hope to stay for many more, just serving the neighborhood.
