Kailash Steel Centre

You can find us at Shop Number 1 on Plot 216, in the Snehal building over in Kandivali West. Kailash Steel Centre is basically a place where we sell all sorts of metal goods and household items. The shop is filled with the sound of clinking steel whenever someone moves a stack of plates or pots. We’ve got shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, mostly packed with tiffins, buckets, and kitchen stuff. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are in the shop at once, but we make it work. Most of our days are spent helping people find that one specific size of container they need. We’ve been here in this part of Kandivali for quite a while, so we know most of the people living in the nearby buildings. It’s a local shop, so we aren't really into big marketing tricks. We just show you what we have, and if it’s good, you buy it. Sometimes the delivery guys bring the wrong items, and we have to spend the morning sorting it out. It’s just the usual retail headaches. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in Mumbai, just a reliable one for the folks around here. We open early and stay until the evening, making sure everyone gets what they came for. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us going through the week.
