Our yard is located in Andheri East, specifically in the Sakinaka area which is always full of industrial activity and noise. We are at Pahelwan Estate, right opposite the New Quality Bakery. You can usually smell the fresh bread and biscuits in the morning when we are unloading the heavy trucks. It is a busy spot in what people call Sadashiv Peth around here. We deal with steel, so there is a lot of heavy lifting and the constant sound of metal clanking throughout the day. The estate is quite dusty, and we are usually covered in it by noon. It is definitely not the kind of place you wear nice clothes to work. We have different types of steel sections, rods, and pipes stored in the racks. It is a bit of a maze if you don't know exactly where you are going. We have been at this location for a while, and we know the other business owners around the estate quite well. We aren't doing any big marketing stuff; mostly, people just know we are here when they need materials for construction or some fabrication work. The traffic in Sakinaka is famous for being terrible, so we try to get our deliveries out early in the morning before the roads get completely blocked up. It is a straightforward business. We weigh the steel, load it up, and settle the accounts. There is no fancy talk here, just hard work and making sure we have the right stock when someone comes looking for it.
