Kadams Cafe

Kadams Cafe is located at A-2 on JSD Road in Mulund West. It's a small place, honestly. We didn't set out to make some high-end lounge; we just wanted a cafe where people could get a decent cup of tea or coffee without any drama. The street outside can get pretty loud with all the traffic, so we try to keep things a bit calmer inside. My family has lived in Mulund for a long time, so opening this felt like a natural thing to do. We use whatever ingredients are fresh at the market that morning. Some days the cakes are better than others, depending on how the oven is behaving. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we sell. It’s just food and drink. The tables are a bit close together, and sometimes you have to wait a minute if we’re short-staffed, but people don't seem to mind much. We’ve got some regulars who come in every single day at the same time. That’s the best part of the job, really. We don't have a big social media presence or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and close them when we’re done for the day. If you’re walking down JSD Road, you can see us right there. It’s a simple setup, run by people who actually live in the neighborhood and know the area well.
