K. R. Steel Syndicate

Our place is inside the Suryodaya Mill Compound on Tardeo Road. We are at unit 16/4, not too far from the Bachchu Motor Cycle shop. Tardeo is a busy area, and the compound itself has been around for a long time. We deal in steel, mostly keeping stock of different sections and materials that people need for building or repairs. The compound is always full of trucks and tempos trying to navigate the narrow spaces. It gets a bit chaotic during the middle of the day. We spend a lot of time checking the weights and making sure the steel is loaded properly. It’s heavy work. The walls of the unit are lined with metal, and there’s that specific smell of raw iron everywhere. We don’t have a fancy reception desk. Usually, you’ll find us sitting among the stacks of steel or near the weighing scale. It’s a practical environment where the focus is just on the material. We know the other guys in the compound well, and it’s a tight-knit community of businesses. Traffic on Tardeo Road can be a pain, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We just try to get the orders ready so the drivers can get back on the road before it gets too late. It’s a simple operation, really. Just buying and selling steel and making sure the counts are right. We don't worry about being fancy, we just worry about the steel.
