You can find K B Tours & Travels over in Malad West, specifically in the Dheeraj Diamond Building, room 104. It’s a fairly standard office block that stays pretty busy throughout the day. We spend most of our time talking to people about where they want to go and how they are going to get there. Whether it is a bus ticket or a car rental, we are usually hunched over the computer checking availability. The walls are covered with some old calendars and a few maps that are starting to curl at the edges. Malad West is always crowded, so there is a constant noise of horns and people shouting from the street that drifts up to our window. We get a lot of walk-ins, people just stopping by to ask about prices or to complain about their last trip. We try to be helpful, even when the internet is slow and we can't get the booking systems to load. It is just a small operation here in the Dheeraj Diamond building. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep the bookings organized so nobody ends up stranded. It isn't a high-end travel agency with glossy brochures; it’s more of a practical place where people come to get their travel sorted. Some days are quiet and we just chat about our own families, but when holiday season hits, it gets pretty frantic in this little room.
