Jyoti Metal Paper Mart

Our place, Jyoti Metal Paper Mart, is on Dr C G Road in Chembur. We are situated right near the Borla Society. It’s not the most beautiful shop you’ll ever visit, to be honest. We deal with a lot of old metal, newspapers, and various bits of scrap that people don't need anymore. There are usually piles of things everywhere—stacks of old magazines, copper wire, and heavy iron pieces. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We’ve been in Chembur for years and have seen the road get busier and busier. My hands are usually a bit dirty from moving stuff around all day. It’s hard work, lifting heavy things and sorting through what can be reused and what can't. We don't have a fancy office; it’s just a desk in the corner with a lot of papers on it. People from the society and the nearby areas come by to drop off their old junk or see if we have something they can use. We try to keep things as organized as possible, but in this business, things tend to get messy quickly. We aren't a big corporation. We are just local guys running a mart. We know the value of things others throw away. It's a noisy part of town, and our shop adds to it sometimes with the clanking of metal, but that’s just how it is here. We just want to keep the yard clearing out and moving.
