We are set up right across from the Dominos on Mahakali Caves Road in Andheri East. If you’ve ever been through this part of Mumbai, you know how crazy the traffic can get. There’s always someone honking or people rushing to the metro station just up the road. Our shop isn't very big, but we manage to fit everything we need inside. We spend a lot of our time preping the fruit and making sure the machines are ready to go before the morning rush starts. It gets pretty hot in here, especially when we’re busy, so we’re always drinking water to keep going through the shift. It’s quite a bit of work to keep everything clean and fresh, and we are constantly checking our stock to see what we need more of. The neighborhood has a lot of offices, so we see the same people coming in every day for their drinks. We’ve gotten to know a lot of them by name over the months. Sometimes when the monsoon hits, the street floods a bit and we have to pull the shutters down, but mostly we’re open and on the move. It’s a loud and fast-paced environment, but we enjoy the energy of Andheri East. We don’t have any corporate polish, just a small group of us trying to keep up with the orders and making sure everyone gets what they wanted. At the end of the day, we’re usually tired, but it’s a good day's work and we are happy with that.
