Impex India is situated right on Juhu Tara Road, which means we are pretty close to the coast. You can sometimes smell the sea air when the breeze is right, though mostly it’s just the smell of traffic from the main road. Our office isn't one of those big glass buildings; it’s a more traditional setup where we’ve been for quite some time. We handle various import and export duties, which means our day is filled with tracking shipments and talking to transport guys. Juhu is a busy part of Mumbai, and there is always something happening outside. We don't have a massive staff, just enough people to make sure the work gets done properly. It gets quite crowded in the office when we have a lot of files out, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time on the computer and even more time on the phone. It’s a lot of coordination to get things moved from one place to another. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just the day-to-day grind of the impex business. Sometimes the rain during monsoon makes getting to the office a real challenge because the roads around here can flood, but we still show up and do what needs doing. It’s a practical way to earn a living, and we’re happy to be in this neighborhood even with the noise and the crowds.
