Out here at C-13 in the Lawanya Society, things feel a bit different than the big plants. We are tucked away in Gurukrupa Nagar, right off Nahur Road in Mulund West. It’s a busy part of Mumbai, and the traffic outside is almost always humming. Being a part of Jsw Steel Ltd from this residential-style area means we are a bit removed from the heat of the furnaces, but the work is just as steady. The 400 080 area is crowded, as anyone who knows Mulund can tell you. Our space is just a regular unit where we handle our part of the business. It’s got that lived-in feel, not like those glass buildings you see downtown. We’ve got files stacked up and the usual office clutter that comes from actually doing things every day. We aren't here to look fancy. The neighbors in the society know us, and we try to keep things quiet and professional. It’s a practical location for us. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at screens, making sure everything is moving correctly across the different branches. The weather in Mumbai can be a bit much with the humidity, but we’re used to it. It’s just a group of us working in a regular room, trying to stay on top of the logistics and the daily grind. No frills, just getting the job done before heading out to catch the train or find a rickshaw home.
