Jones Lang Lasalle Meghraj is tucked away in Kandivli East at C/403 National Avenue. We are right on Akurli Road. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy this stretch can get. The office is on the fourth floor. It’s a standard building, nothing that stands out from the street. We spend our days dealing with property details and speaking with clients. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. The commute for some of us involves the local train, so we usually arrive a bit tired, but once the coffee is ready, we get to work. The space is a bit tight, as things often are in Mumbai, but we make it work. We have files piled up on the shelves and the printers are always going. During the monsoon, we can see the rain coming down hard over the rooftops. It’s a practical environment. We don't worry about sounding professional or having a polished look. We just want to get the details right for the people who hire us. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs. It keeps us moving. We’ve been here for a while and the location is convenient for reaching different parts of the city. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people. We often share some snacks in the afternoon when the energy gets a bit low. 400101 is a crowded area, but it’s our home. There's a small shop downstairs that makes great sandwiches.
