Our office is located in Shiv Sadan Chawl, which is on P. N. Road in the Hanuman Nagar area of Bhandup West. If you’ve been to this part of Mumbai, you know how crowded and lively it gets. We are a consultancy that focuses on helping people find work. It’s a small operation, nothing like the big firms you see in the papers. We spend most of our time looking at resumes and talking to people who walk in looking for advice. It’s a lot of listening. People have all sorts of backgrounds and they just want a chance to get a decent job. We don’t have a polished waiting room or a receptionist. It’s just us in a small room with a couple of fans going to keep the Mumbai heat away. Sometimes we have a lot of openings to talk about, and other days it’s a bit slow. We try to be honest with everyone who comes through the door about what’s available. It’s a lot of phone calls to companies and checking in on applications. Being in a chawl means we are right in the middle of the community. We see the daily struggle and the hard work people put in. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s our job at Jobsure Consultancy. We just keep our records straight and try to match the right person to the right spot without making things too complicated.
