J.M.Baxi & Co.

We've been here at J.N. Heredia Marg for a long time now. The Sept Building is where you'll find us. It's a busy area, lots of people moving around. We deal with ships and cargo stuff mainly. J.M. Baxi & Co. isn't a new name in these parts. My father used to tell me how things were different years ago, but the core work stays the same. We handle the paperwork and make sure things get where they need to go. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing. Other days are a bit quieter. It’s mostly about coordinating with the docks and the agents. If you walk past the building, you'll see the sign. We have a few desks and a lot of files piled up. Shipping is a messy business sometimes with all the regulations changing, but we keep track of it. It’s just what we do every day. We don't really do big advertisements. Most people who need us already know where the office is. We just try to get the job done without too much fuss. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that’s usually when we take a break. It's not a fancy office, just functional. We spend a lot of time on the computer and talking to people at the port. It's steady work. We've stayed in this same spot because it's convenient for the maritime district and helps us stay connected to the actual ships. It's what we know.
