Jindal Vijayanagar Steel Limited

Our office is located in Jindal Mansion at 5A, G. Deshmukh Marg. It’s a well-known building in this area, and we’ve been here for quite some time now. Working at Jindal Vijayanagar Steel Limited involves a lot of coordination and keeping track of various steel projects. The office inside the mansion is quite large, but it still has a very busy, lived-in feel to it. There are papers everywhere, phones ringing, and people constantly moving from one desk to another. We aren't really into the whole polished corporate look; our space is more about getting the actual work done. G. Deshmukh Marg is a busy street, and we can see the city moving outside our windows all day. Most of our staff have been with us for years, so we’ve become like a small family. We have our routines, like the time the tea man comes around in the afternoon, which is usually when we take a short break from the computers. We deal with a lot of logistics and numbers, making sure the steel gets from the plants to where it’s needed. It can be stressful when there are delays, but we just take it one day at a time. We don't use any fancy talk or marketing slogans here. We just focus on the steel business and try to keep our operations running as smoothly as the Mumbai traffic allows us to.
