You can find us at G 104 in the Swami Samarth CHS building. We are located in Beturkar Pada, which is in Kalyan West. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to just walk in off the street. Kalyan is quite a distance from the main Mumbai city, but it has its own crowd and its own pace. The society we are in is mostly residential, so you see neighbors going about their chores while we are trying to get our work done. Jerry Varghese has been operating from this small office for quite some time. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have more than a few visitors at once. We have some basic chairs and a couple of old wooden desks. The walls are covered with some old calendars and a few notices. It’s not a place that was designed by an architect; it just grew naturally as we needed more space for files. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who come by looking for help. There’s no fancy air conditioning system, just a few ceiling fans that we keep on high. The noise from the street outside comes right in, but we don't mind it much. It feels like we are part of the neighborhood. We just do our work, help whoever walks through that door, and call it a day when the sun goes down.
