Jayesh Metal

Jayesh Metal is located down at Charni Road in Girgaon. We are specifically at the 1st Cross. It is one of those narrow streets where everyone knows each other. The area is full of old buildings and small shops. We deal with metal all day, so it can get a bit noisy. The 1st Cross is a busy little lane. You have to be careful walking because of the handcarts and bikes. Our shop isn't very large, but we make it work. There are stacks of material everywhere you look. We’ve been in Girgaon for a long time. It’s a traditional part of the city. Most of our neighbors have been here for decades too. The tea stall at the corner is where we usually go in the afternoons. It gets quite humid here, especially in the monsoon. We have to make sure everything stays dry. It’s hard work and the days are long. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on being here at the 1st Cross every morning. People come by when they need something specific. We know the regulars by name. Charni Road has a certain feel to it that you don't get in the newer parts of town. Jayesh Metal is just a small part of this neighborhood. We keep the shutters up until late evening and start again the next day. It is how it has always been.
