Our workshop is at 78/84 in Datta Nagar, near Charni Road. This part of the city has always been a hub for metal work. At Jay Veer Metal Industries, we’re mostly involved in the practical side of the metal trade. Our space is functional, with heavy machinery and stacks of raw materials taking up most of the room. It’s loud and can get quite dusty, but that’s the nature of the industry. We aren’t interested in looking polished or fancy. We’re more about getting the job done. The staff here are locals who understand how things work in this neighborhood. We have our regulars who come in because they know we’ve been here for a while. Charni Road is always a bit of a challenge with parking and deliveries, so we’ve gotten used to maneuvering trucks in tight spaces. Inside, the walls are covered with tools and old calendars. We don't have a big office; just a small corner where we handle the bills and phone calls. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, but we just keep the doors open for whatever breeze comes through. We aren't trying to change the world. We just make and supply metal parts for people who need them. It’s a gritty, honest way to make a living, and we’re comfortable with it. No frills, just hard work and the same faces every morning when we open the shutter. We just try to get the orders right and keep things moving along steadily.
