You can find us over at Mazgaon 47. Jawahar Saw Mills Pvt Ltd has been in the family for quite some time now. The mill is a bit of a dusty place, and it usually smells like fresh wood and engine oil. My uncle started this business years ago, and now a few of us keep it running every day. We usually wake up quite early to get the saws going before the midday heat hits too hard. Mazgaon is a pretty loud neighborhood, so the noise from our machines fits right in with everything else. We handle a lot of logs every week. The machines we use are old, but they still do the job just fine. We are right there at number 47 if you're ever looking for the place. It’s definitely not a fancy office, just a lot of wood and some sawdust on the floor. We spend most of our time out in the back area where all the cutting happens. Sometimes we lose track of time when a big order comes in. The guys working here have been with us for years. We know the different types of wood pretty well by now. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. There’s no big corporate stuff going on here, just a saw mill doing what we’ve always done. The front gate gets stuck sometimes when it rains. We just have to push it a bit harder to get it open. It's just a part of the daily routine.
