About Arun Prakash K Prajapati Printing Blocks – Furniture in Mumbai
We’ve been here in Nallasopara Oswal Nagari for a while now, focusing on making printing blocks. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. We spend most of our mornings getting the materials ready and checking what needs to be carved or set. Arun Prakash K Prajapati Printing Blocks isn't a big factory or anything, just a place where we get things done. Sometimes the orders are small, sometimes they take a few days to finish. People usually come to us because they know where we are in the colony. It’s dusty work and our hands usually have ink or wood shavings on them by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's just a workshop with a lot of tools. The neighborhood knows us, and we know the tea stall guy nearby pretty well. If you walk past, you'll probably hear the sound of the machines or us talking about a design. We try to keep things simple. Printing blocks are a bit old-school now with all the digital stuff around, but there are still folks who need them for traditional work. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come in. Nothing more to it. If the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we just take a break until it’s back. It’s just how it goes here in Nallasopara. We like the work we do even if it’s repetitive and a bit messy.
