If you are driving along the Express Highway near Pathanwadi, we are right there in the thick of it. The shop is full of metal frames and half-finished chairs most of the time. You can usually hear the sound of someone grinding steel or the clank of tools hitting the floor. It is a bit of a dusty place because of all the work we do, but that is just how it is when you deal with furniture. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of the stuff is just lined up so people can see the different sizes and shapes. Some days it gets really hot under the roof, so we have a couple of old fans that we keep running all day long. My clothes usually end up with some grease or dust on them by lunchtime. We have been in this Pathanwadi spot for a good bit of time and people around here know us. We spend a lot of time measuring things and making sure the welding is done right. It is hard work and our hands stay pretty rough. When the highway traffic slows down in the evening, the place feels a bit more quiet. We mostly just focus on finishing the orders people leave with us. There isn't much room to walk around inside because of the stock, so we often end up standing out front to talk to customers.
