Jasuben M L School

Our school is located on the Dr Madhuri Shah Campus. It's on Ramkrishna Mission Marg in Khar West. Being in Mumbai, it’s always a bit of a squeeze, but we make the most of the space we have. Jasuben M L School has been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. You can hear the city noise from the classrooms, but you get used to it after a while. The campus is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. We have different sections for the different ages. Most of the parents are from around Khar, so we see the same faces every day at the gate. It’s a practical place. We don't have a huge field, but the kids find ways to play in the corners. The office is usually piled with notebooks and forms. We spend our time trying to keep the schedule on track while the trains rattle nearby. It's a local school through and through. Nothing too flashy, just desks and chairs and blackboards. We have some trees that give a bit of a break from the sun. The walk from the station isn't too bad if the weather is okay. We just focus on the classes and getting the kids through their exams. It's a lot of hard work for everyone, but that's just life in Khar West.
