Down in Girgaon, things have a different pace. Our place is in Sarvoday Nagar, specifically Block No G 72. It is an old part of the city, and the buildings here have a lot of history. We do metal craft, which basically means it is noisy and there is always a bit of metal dust in the air. We have been working out of this block for a long time. It is a practical space, not a showroom. We have workbenches that have seen a lot of use over the years, and tools scattered around where they are needed. We spend our days cutting, shaping, and joining metal pieces. It takes a bit of muscle and a lot of patience. Sometimes a job takes much longer than we thought it would because the metal just does not want to bend the right way. We do not have a big corporate office or a receptionist. If you come by, you will probably find us in our work shirts, likely busy with a welding torch or a grinder. The neighborhood is tight-knit. We know the other shop owners on our floor. We grab lunch from the same places every day. It is hard work, and our backs often ache by the time we lock up in the evening. We do not pretend to be anything more than a small workshop doing metal work in the heart of Girgaon. It is just how we earn our living.
