Jai Jyotawali Steel Pvt. Ltd. is located over at Plot No 331 in Nav Vyapar Bhawan. Being at 49 P. D'Mello Road puts us right in the heart of the Carnac Bunder area. If you’ve ever been down here, you know it’s all about the docks and the trucks. The air always tastes a bit like salt and exhaust from the harbor. Our office in the Bhawan is where we manage the steel orders day in and day out. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and tricky logistics. We don't really have time for anything flashy or corporate. The building is usually full of people from other trading companies, so the hallways are always busy with someone moving something. We spend a lot of our time on the phone, tracking where the steel is and when it’s going to arrive. P. D'Mello Road is famous for its traffic jams, so we’ve learned to be patient with the drivers. We have a few desks and a lot of filing cabinets for all the paperwork. Steel is a tough business, but we’ve been at it for years and know the ropes well. Most of our day is spent making sure the weights are correct and the paperwork matches up with what's on the truck. It’s a practical job for practical people. We don't have any big mission statements on the wall, just a calendar and maybe a picture or two from home. Carnac Bunder is a grit-and-grime kind of place.
