Our factory is located at 86A N M Sadan, right in the New Timber Market area of Byculla. If you have ever been down to the timber market, you know it always has that distinct smell of wood and sawdust in the air. We have been here for a long time. It is a very busy part of the city with big trucks coming and going at all hours of the day. Inside the factory, things are usually pretty loud because of the machines running. We make different things here depending on what the orders look like for that particular week. It is a bit of a maze inside with all the stacks of raw materials and the different stations where the guys are working. We do not have a front desk or any kind of fancy entrance. You just walk in and find whoever is available. Most of the staff here has been working together for years, so we all know the rhythm of the place. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that is when everyone takes a short break to talk. Byculla can be a tough place to get around because the traffic is always a total mess. But we like it here. It is where the real work happens. The walls are a bit dusty and the floor is never going to be perfectly clean, but it is a factory, not a showroom.
