J. D. Steel Corporation

If you ever find yourself on Nanubhai Desai Road, you might have seen the Nandavana Building. We’re tucked away on the first floor in room 15. It’s an old building, and the stairs can be a bit of a climb if you’re not used to them, but it’s been our home for J. D. Steel Corporation for a while now. The office is usually a bit cluttered with samples and thick folders full of invoices. We deal with steel, so there’s always a bit of that metallic smell in the air. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to people who walk in looking for specific sizes or grades of steel. It’s a small team here, just a few of us trying to keep things organized. We don’t really do the whole corporate thing with suits and big meetings. Usually, we’re just in our regular clothes, drinking chai and trying to figure out the logistics for the next delivery. Sometimes the fans in the ceiling make a bit of a clicking noise, but you stop noticing it after an hour. The street outside is always noisy with cars honking, which you can hear even through the windows. We like being in this part of the city though. It’s got a lot of history and everyone around here knows each other. It’s just a plain, honest business where we try to do the work right and keep things moving along.
