If you are looking for J. B. Metal Industries P. Ltd., we are tucked away behind the New Heaven Steel Ball Corp. off Saki Vihar Road. Sakinaka is always loud and crowded with people and trucks, and our factory fits right in with that atmosphere. We work with metal every day, so there is constantly some kind of clanging or machine noise going on. It is a very practical setup, and there is nothing particularly pretty to look at here. The walls are a bit stained from the oil and the concrete floors have seen better days. We have a group of guys who have been running these machines for years now. They know the sounds of the equipment so well they can tell if something is wrong just by listening. Being in Andheri East means we are close to the main transport links, but the traffic around here is a total nightmare most afternoons. We usually just stay inside and focus on the production line. We do not have a marketing team or people wearing suits. It is just the foremen and the workers getting through the daily orders as they come in. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we spend the whole afternoon covered in grease trying to fix it ourselves. That is just part of the job in a metal shop. We eat our lunch together when things quiet down for a bit. It is hard work, but it keeps us going.
