It’s a busy, noisy part of Mumbai, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. J A Credit Consultancy Pvt Ltd has been based here for quite a while. We help people figure out their credit situations. It’s a small office, nothing fancy at all. We have our desks and a couple of fans to keep the air moving. People from around the neighborhood just walk in when they need help. It’s a very local way of doing things. You won’t find any corporate jargon here. We just look at your papers and tell you what’s what. Mumbai 400086 is a fast-paced place, and we try to keep up with it. The chawl is a community, and we are part of that. We know the shopkeepers and the people living nearby. It’s a very practical business. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall, just the work we have to do that day. We try to be honest and helpful to everyone who walks through the door. It’s a simple life but it keeps us busy and we like it.
