Italian Optics

We’ve been here at 260/262 Kalbadevi for a good while now. It’s a busy spot on 100 Feet Road, right in Indira Nagar. If you’re coming from the Jumma Masjid, you just walk a little bit and you’ll see our shop front. Most days it is just us fixing frames that people sat on or helping someone find a pair of glasses that actually fits their face right. The shop isn't huge but we keep a lot of different styles tucked away in the drawers. It gets quite loud outside with all the traffic and people walking to the masjid, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of us working on lenses. We deal with all sorts of eyes. Sometimes kids come in because they can't see the board at school and other times it's older folks needing their reading glasses adjusted again. We don't really do fancy advertisements or anything like that. People just know we are here. The shelves are full and sometimes there's a bit of dust on the top ones because we're busy helping someone at the counter. We try to keep things straightforward. If a pair of glasses can be fixed, we fix it. If you need a new prescription, we help you get sorted without making a big fuss about it. It’s just a normal shop in a busy part of town. We've seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years.
