Magna Exim Pvt. Ltd. is on the 4th floor of the Ismail Building. To be exact, we are in Room No 31. The building is located at 27 Sutar Chawl. It’s one of those classic old Mumbai buildings where you have to climb a lot of stairs if you aren't using the lift, which isn't always the fastest. Being on the 4th floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below, though it’s mostly just roofs and other windows. Sutar Chawl is a very crowded place. It is full of energy and people constantly moving goods back and forth. Our room is quite small, but we have everything organized the way we like it. There are files stacked on the shelves and a few desks crammed in. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but the fan keeps things moving. Ismail Building has a lot of history to it. You can feel it in the heavy wooden doors and the narrow hallways. We’ve been in Room 31 for a long time. It’s where all the decisions happen and where we keep track of everything going out. It is a busy life here in the heart of the city. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you just walk right into the middle of the work. That is just how we operate. It's a bit messy but we know where everything is.
