International Trade Link is based in Mumbai 3. It’s an old part of the city, and we’ve been operating from here for quite a long time. Our work is all about the trade that moves through the city, but we handle it from a very local perspective. Our office is tucked away in one of those buildings that has seen a lot of history. Inside, you’ll find shelves filled with ledgers and files that go back years. We don’t use a lot of fancy technology, just the stuff that works for us. Most of our day is spent on the phone, talking to suppliers or checking on where things are in the shipping process. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the right papers are in the right hands at the right time. We don’t have a big marketing department or a polished public image. We just rely on the relationships we’ve built up over decades in the trade business. People know us in Mumbai 3, and that’s more important to us than having a fancy office in a skyscraper. The streets outside are always crowded with handcarts and trucks, and that’s the environment we thrive in. We drink a lot of tea and spend a lot of time talking to the same people we’ve known for years. It’s a steady business built on trust and just showing up every day to do the work.
