We have been at Shop 19 on Nagdevi Street for quite some time now. If you know this part of Masjid Bunder West, you know how crowded it gets with all the hardware shops and people pushing carts around. Our place is right across from the Central Bank of India. It is a busy spot. Most mornings start with unlocking the shutters and checking the stock of steel items we have piled up. The address says Nagdevi Street, but we are also near Sarjapur Main Road. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic and the loaders shouting to clear the way. We spend most of the day here talking to people who need specific industrial parts. It is not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a regular shop where we keep track of everything in big ledgers. Sometimes the tea guy comes around and we take a break. The walls are a bit dusty from all the metal moving in and out, but that is just how it is in this line of work. We do not have any big signs or flashy lights. People usually find us because they know the landmark or they have been coming here for years. The shop itself is small, but we make use of every inch of space for the inventory. It is a long day from morning until we close up in the evening, but it keeps us busy. We just try to get the orders right and keep things moving.
