Our business is located in Mumbai at 80-82, 1st Khetwadi Lane. If you’ve ever walked through Khetwadi, you know how narrow the lanes are and how every building is packed with metal shops. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time. It’s an old building, and the walls are a bit worn, but it serves us well. We keep our metal stock inside, piled up in the back and along the sides. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get a big delivery, and we have to move everything around to make it fit. The street outside is always full of handcarts and laborers moving heavy loads. It’s a loud, busy part of the city, and there’s always someone shouting or a horn honking. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. People just come in, tell us what they need, and we see if we have it in the pile. We spend a lot of time on the phone with customers and other traders in the lane. It’s a very traditional way of doing business where your word and your reputation in the market matter more than any brochure. We deal with the heat, the rain, and the crowds every day without complaining much. It’s just the way things are in this part of Mumbai. Most of the people working here have been with us for a long time, so we’re like a small family in the middle of all the chaos.
