Our place is over in Andheri East, specifically near Budigere Cross. It’s a bit of a trek if you aren't familiar with the Old Madras Road area. Indiana Gratings has been operating out of Indiana House for years now. It’s an industrial space, so don't expect any plush carpets or silent hallways. Most of what you’ll hear is the sound of metal being moved around or the hum of the machines. We spend our time working on gratings and floorings for various construction jobs. The office side of things is usually a bit chaotic with blueprints and order sheets spread out everywhere. We drink a lot of coffee to keep going through the afternoon slump. Some days are slow, just checking stocks, and other days it feels like everyone needs their order delivered at the exact same hour. The traffic around Bommanahalli Road can be a real headache, especially when we are trying to get the delivery trucks out on time. We’ve lived through plenty of monsoon seasons where the roof leaked a bit, but we just patched it up and kept moving. It’s just a regular workplace where people show up, do their jobs, and head home. We know the neighbors pretty well since we’ve been here so long. It’s not glamorous, but the work is steady and we know our way around a welding torch and a shipping schedule. We keep things simple and just focus on getting the orders out.
