Indian Coffee Depot

If you are around Khetwadi, you will probably see the Indian Coffee Depot. We are on the ground floor of the Mangaldas Building, specifically in units 395 B and C. It’s right across from the Lamington Road Police Station, so there is always a lot of movement and police sirens nearby. The air around our shop usually smells quite strongly of coffee, which is something we’ve grown to love. We don't run a fancy cafe where you can sit and read. It’s more of a depot where we store and process the coffee. We have large sacks of beans piled up near the entrance and machines that can get pretty loud when they are running. The ground floor spot is very convenient because we can move heavy bags in and out without much trouble. The walls inside are a bit stained from all the years of work, but we don't mind it much. It feels like a real workspace. We have a small group of people working here and we all know what needs to be done. Residents and other shop owners often stop by just to say hello or pick up what they need. It’s a busy, noisy part of town, but it suits us well. We don't try to be anything we are not. We just handle the coffee and keep things moving every day. Our space in Khetwadi is where everything happens.
