India Steel Works Ltd.

Being based at India Steel Works Ltd in Mumbai is always a bit hectic because of the city. Our actual spot is over in Kandivali West, specifically at 13/368 in the Kalpant Co-Op Housing Society. It’s a residential area, so we try to keep things quiet while we handle the business side of things. Sector III is where we spend our hours. Most days it’s just about coordinating with the factory and keeping the records straight. We’ve been in this building for quite a while now. The zip code is 400067 and it’s a typical Mumbai neighborhood. It’s not a huge corporate tower or anything like that. We just have our space in the society where the phone rings and we talk to clients about steel. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we take the stairs. Living and working in Kandivali means we see the same faces every day. It is a very normal existence. We don't have a marketing team or anything, just a few of us making sure the steel supply chain doesn't break. You might find us checking emails late because that’s just how it goes in this industry. It’s a bit cramped with all the files, but we manage. We aren’t looking to be the biggest, just to do the work that comes our way and keep the lights on in this little corner of Mumbai.
