India Inc.

Our spot is at 14 Vijay Niwas, tucked away on 16 Dwarkadas Lane near Modi Street. Being in the Fort area means everything is a bit old and crowded, but that’s just the character of this part of town. India Inc. is the name on the door, though we are just a regular office doing our daily bit. The walls are a bit thin, so we hear the neighbors talking and they probably hear us too. We deal with a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. Dwarkadas Lane is quite narrow, so you really have to know where you are going to find us back here. Inside Vijay Niwas, the stairs are a bit steep and the hallways are dim, but our office is where the actual work happens. We don’t have any big signs or flashing lights to grab attention. It’s mostly just us sitting at our desks, keeping track of things. Sometimes the internet acts up or the monsoon rain makes the walls feel a bit damp, but we just keep going anyway. It’s a lived-in space with old wooden furniture that has been around as long as the business itself. We don’t try to impress anyone who walks in; we just want to get the day’s tasks finished so we can go home. Fort is a busy place to be, and there’s always something happening right outside the window. We like the location because everything we need is within walking distance.
