Our office is in the Maker Chamber 5 building at Nariman Point. The suite number is 1410. Being at Nariman Point, you’d think it would be all high-end and polished, but our office is actually pretty basic. It’s a small space where we do all our financial trading work. We have a few desks pushed together and a lot of monitors so we can keep an eye on everything. The building itself is quite famous in Mumbai, but once you are inside the office, it’s just another workplace. The air conditioning is usually turned up quite high because the sun really hits the windows in the afternoon. You can catch a glimpse of the sea if you stand in the right corner of the room. We don't really have any fancy decorations; it’s mostly just calendars and a few clocks on the wall showing different times. The commute to Nariman Point is long for most of us, so the day starts and ends with a lot of traveling. Lunchtime is the best part because we can walk out to the promenade for a bit of fresh air. We aren't a big operation, just a few people handling the trades and the paperwork that goes with it. It’s a lot of staring at numbers and talking to brokers on the phone. We just try to keep things simple and get through the daily tasks without any drama.
