Our business is located right in the Wadia Estate area of Kurla West. If you are familiar with Mumbai, you probably know how Bail Bazar gets during the middle of the day. It is always crowded and noisy. Our office is at 6/189, and it is a fairly tight space, which is pretty common for this part of the city. India Connection Impex Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this estate for quite some time now. There is a lot of constant coming and going, with trucks trying to move through the narrow lanes and people shouting to be heard over the traffic. We do not have any fancy glass walls or a lobby with air conditioning. It is just a practical workspace where we manage all our imports and exports. The walls are a bit stained and the ceiling is high, which is typical for these old estate buildings in Kurla. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking through wooden crates. It gets quite hot in the afternoons but we just keep the ceiling fans going and stay busy with our tasks. There is no point in trying to sound like a giant company when we are right here in the middle of all this grit. We know our way around the docks and the markets. It has a family feel even if we are a private limited company.
