We are located in Shiv Apartment, right in Room No. 3. It is a bit of a smaller setup compared to those big glass buildings you see elsewhere. Being in Kalina means we are right in the thick of things. The Kalina Masjid is very close by, so that is usually what we tell people when they are trying to find the entrance. Santacruz can get really crowded, and the lanes around here are always busy with people and scooters. Our office is on the ground level, so you don't have to worry about climbing lots of stairs. It is just a simple room where we keep all our records and sit with our computers. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but we have a fan that keeps things moving. There are plenty of small shops around us, so getting a quick bite or some stationery is never an issue. Most of the people who come by are locals from the neighborhood. We have been in this spot for a while and the neighbors all know us. It is not a flashy place, just a practical space to get things done. We try to keep things organized, even though the room is small. Sometimes the noise from the street comes inside, but we are used to it by now. It feels like a real part of the community here in Santacruz. We don't have a lot of staff, so it stays pretty quiet inside unless there's a customer.
