I T C India Trading Company

Mahim West has a certain pace to it that you don't find elsewhere in Mumbai. Our office for I T C India Trading Company is over on Katarja Marg, specifically at number 2. It’s a relatively quiet street compared to the main roads, which we actually like. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and the building has become a familiar part of our lives. Inside, it’s just a couple of rooms filled with files, samples, and a few old computers. We do a lot of trading back and forth, mostly over the phone or through people stopping by to discuss some business. The windows at number 2 look out over the street, and we can see the neighbors going about their day. It’s a very local feel. We don’t go in for big advertisements or anything like that. People find us because they’ve been told about us by someone else in the trade. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the couriers to arrive or for the dock reports to come in. The desks are a bit cluttered and the floorboards creak a little, but it’s a comfortable place to spend the day. Mahim is a good spot for us because we’re close enough to everything but tucked away just enough on Katarja Marg to get our work done without too many distractions. It’s just a plain trading company run by people who know the business inside out.
