Our office is tucked away in the Powai Cosmopolitan Housing Society, specifically at 9B/1202 in the Rambaug area. It is a residential-style office, which we think makes the whole place feel a bit more comfortable than those huge, cold glass towers you see in other parts of Mumbai. We spend most of our hours here looking for people to fill different job roles for companies that need help. It is a lot of reading through emails and making phone calls to see who might be looking for a change. The job market in Mumbai never really stops, so we stay pretty busy from Monday to Saturday. Being in Powai is nice because there are so many shops and places to eat nearby. We see a fair amount of people coming in to drop off their resumes or just to have a quick chat about what kind of work is available. The view from the 12th floor is decent, but usually, we are just focused on our computer screens. We do not use any complicated systems; it is mostly just about talking to people and figuring out if they have the right skills for a job. It is a small group of us working here, so we all know each other well. We are not trying to be a massive agency. We just want to help people find decent work and help businesses find the staff they need to keep going.
