Hmm Steel Syndicate is right in the middle of the chaos of Lokhand Bazaar. Our office is 406 in the Giriraj Building on S.T Road. If you know Carnac Bunder and Masjid East, you know how packed these streets get. It’s a lot of noise, horns honking, and people shouting, but that’s just the energy of the bazaar. The Giriraj Building is an old one, with narrow stairs and a lot of history in the walls. We spend our days surrounded by paperwork and the sound of steel being moved around outside. It’s a tight space, but we make it work. Dealing with steel in Masjid East means you’re part of a very old tradition of trade. We aren’t trying to be something we aren’t. We just sit at our desks, answer the phones, and make sure the steel goes where it needs to go. Sometimes the lift in the building doesn't work right, so we end up walking the stairs, which keeps us moving. The air smells like salt from the nearby water and old metal. It’s a busy life, and there isn't much quiet time until the sun goes down and the bazaar starts to close up. We’ve been here long enough that the noise just sounds like background music now. It's just home for us. We drink our chai and watch the trucks crawl through the narrow lanes. It’s just the way things are here.
