Started out here in Dadar quite some time ago. It’s a busy spot right off Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, and number 10 is where you’ll find us usually. The shop isn't fancy or anything like that. We mostly deal with various metal pieces and stuff people need for their construction or repair jobs. Most mornings start with moving things around to make space. It gets pretty loud with the traffic outside and the work inside, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. Sometimes it’s hard for trucks to pull up because the road is always packed with people heading to work. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our corner stays pretty much the same. There’s a lot of dust from the cutting and moving, so we’re always cleaning up. People come in asking for all sorts of sizes, and we try to find what fits. It’s just me and a couple of others here most days. We don’t really have a big office or anything, just a desk with some old papers and a phone that rings whenever someone gets lost trying to find the turn-off. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, honestly. Not much to complain about, though the heat in the summer makes the metal parts really hot to touch. We just keep at it day after day.
