Hewitt Associates

Our office is in Mumbai, specifically in Andheri West at Manish Nagar. We are located in the Indian Bank Officers Quarters, B Wing, Flat 402. Being in Andheri means it’s always incredibly busy outside on the streets, but the quarters are a bit more secluded and quiet. Hewitt Associates operates from this flat. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when everyone is in the office at once, but we make it work. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and some laundry hanging out on balconies. Mumbai rain can be a real problem for us, so we’re always checking the windows for leaks during the long monsoon months. The office doesn’t have anything fancy or high-end. We have old wooden desks and some plastic chairs for guests to use. It’s a very lived-in space. You can hear the neighbors sometimes through the walls, and the smell of someone cooking lunch usually drifts through the hallway in the afternoons. It’s a very human, normal place to work. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just handle our tasks as they come in. Most of us take the local train and then an auto-rickshaw to get here every day. It makes for a long day, but the atmosphere in the office is relaxed and friendly. We don’t worry about corporate polish. We just focus on getting things right and finishing the day's work.
