Hemi'Scraft

We are way up on the 11th floor of the Venus building at E-42 in Worli. Being near the Flora Hotel and the Seaface means we get a bit of a breeze sometimes, which is nice in the Mumbai heat. Hemi'Scraft is a small setup, even though we’re in a tall building. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few people who really enjoy the craft side of things. Our workspace is often crowded with half-finished projects and different kinds of tools. It’s not a sterile environment; there are bits of thread or shavings on the floor most days. We do most of our work by hand, so things take time. We aren't interested in mass-producing things as fast as possible. We’d rather get one thing right than rush through ten. The elevator in this building can be a bit slow, so we spend some time waiting for it, which gives us a chance to chat with the neighbors. We’ve been at this location for a while and the view of the water never really gets old, even when we’re working late. We don't have a fancy website or a PR person. People usually find us because they heard about what we do from someone else. It’s a simple way to run a business and it suits us just fine. We just try to keep our heads down and stay busy.
