Hemendra Metal Industries

Our place, Hemendra Metal Industries, is located at 17 Tardeo Bridge, right near the old Diana Cinema. It’s a part of town that has changed a lot over the years, but we are still here doing the same thing. We work with different types of metals every day. The workshop is usually noisy with the sound of machines and metal hitting metal. It’s not the cleanest place because there’s always metal shavings and dust around, but that’s just part of the job. We have a small crew and most of us have been here for years. We know the machines better than we know our own cars. It’s honest work and it gets our hands dirty. Sometimes the heat in the summer makes the shop feel like an oven, but we keep the fans going as much as we can. People bring us all sorts of requests for metal parts. We take a look, see what we can do, and then get to work. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in our overalls. The bridge gets pretty busy with traffic, so we hear the honking all day long. We just focus on the task at hand. It’s about getting the measurements right and making sure the metal is cut the way it’s supposed to be. We’ve been at this for a long time and we don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
