Hemani Impex

We have been running things from this office on Tilak Road for a good number of years now. It isn't a very large space, just enough for a few desks and some tall metal cabinets where we keep all the files and ledgers. Most mornings start with unlocking the heavy shutters and letting some air in before the heat really kicks in. Being on Tilak Road means it’s always loud with the buses and people shouting, but after a while, you just stop hearing it. Hemani Impex is basically just a few of us trying to keep the orders moving. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking on shipments or talking to the transport guys. Sometimes the paperwork gets really backed up, especially at the end of the month, and we all have to stay late to get it sorted. There’s a small tea shop just a few doors down that brings us chai twice a day, which helps keep us going. We don’t have a website with fancy photos or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people we’ve known for a long time. It’s a bit crowded in here when we have new stock arrive, and we have to stack boxes wherever they’ll fit until they can be sent out. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s our place and we know how everything works. We just try to be honest with people and get the job done without any unnecessary drama or complicated talk.
